Risen is returning to build on what was an amazing show last year. Let's make it even better this year!
Risen, Calgary's Queer Youth Art and Theatre show is a night of visual and performance art that takes place at the Arrata Opera Centre. It will take place this year on August 30th, from 8-10PM
Risen is holding auditions this Saturday, May 19th at the Old Y (223 12th Ave SW)
Auditions are a completely open process. If you have a monologue, spoken word, live act of any kind that you would like to share, please come on down! The most incredible part of the show last year was the variety and the diversity of talents.... your contribution does not go unnoticed!

Like it or not, musicals are always just a little undeniably, flamingly gay. Bright colours, dance numbers, singing...you can't get much more stereotypically gay than that.
Unless of course, you have the Fake Mustache drag kings perform the musical pieces. Then there isn't a straight thing left to the show.
Tune your vocal chords and join the boys Thursday May 17th at 8:00PM
at The Calgary Eagle (424 8 Ave SE)
All proceeds go to support The Miscellaneous Youth Network, suggest cover is $5. This is, unfortunately, an 18+ venue.

The time has come for Fake Mustache's third annual impersonation show. Prepare to be as confused as the boys when girls who are boys who like boys to be girls who do boys like they're girls who do girls like they're boys after pulling a name out of a hat (bonus points if you caught that song reference!)
There will be pasties in places you didn't think possible!
Come on down to the Eagle (424a - 8 Ave SE) This Thursday April 5th for the zaniest, most over the top show of the year.
Unfortunately the Eagle is not an all ages venue. Show starts at 8:00PM for the 18+ crowd.

Hey world! Mosaic has made it to its second Anniversary, and to celebrate, they're throwing a big party tonight, March 28th.
"We're going to be having an AWESOME party to celebrate our journey! There will be some great prizes to be won from our carnival games, and of course, a giant birthday cake to celebrate our toddler years.
AND WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! The Miscellaneous Youth Network will be starting up a new group!!! We're creating a support network for PARENTS! Are you a queer parent? Or a parent of queer kids? This group is for you! This party is an excellent time to connect with other parents and to kick off the official starting date of our parent group on April 1!!! Don't miss out on this!
Come on down to celebrate our past to years and to look forward to the next years that Mosaic continues to grow in our community ♥ See you there!"

There is something undeniably awesome about watching a drag king show in a Leather bar. There's something even more awesome about having Drag kings in a Leather bar on St. Patty's day. Come see the boys spread some luck 'o the Irish to the Bears, Pups, Daddies and more this Saturday, March 17th.
Unfortunately The Eagle is an 18+ venue, so there will not be an all ages show.
The 18+ show starts at 9:00 PM
Watch the boys' green spirit gummed 'staches compete with the home grown ones (probably not green; they're behind in points already!) of the Leathermen - Who's will be bushier, longer, and shinier? Come on down to find out!
All proceeds from the show go to support queer youth in the city. Suggested donations of $5 are always appreciated.
