April 30, 2011 Project Blue Sky (It Gets Better Calgary)
"Project Blue Sky was created to give people an opportunity to have a short film made of their words of encouragement for LGBTTQQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transidentified, Two-Spirited, Questioning, Queer) youth in Calgary and beyond.

We know that being a kid or teenager can be hard and trying for anyone. When you add the LGBTTQQ component, for some that can be a heavy weight to carry. Let's remind them that they're not alone."

The evening consists of The premiere screening of our short film and Performances by Fake Mustache

This all ages event runs from 6:30PM to 9PM at Club Sapien (1140 10th Ave SW.) Tickets $15 at the door.

"Get your dancing shoes, find your drag make-up, put on your leather, put on that moustache, shave your legs (not all at the same time), or do whatever you want...JUST COME ON DOWN!"

An evening of drag performances at the University of Calgary. Fake Mustache will be performing throughout the night. Proceeds go to Queers on Campus.

This is an 18+ event. Show starts at 9PM at the U of C Den, located in the lower level of Mac Hall.

With performances by some of the Fake Mustache Boys, a DJ for some great dancing, good food and drink.

March 5, 2011 Q the Arts, Calgary's first Queer Arts & Cultural Festival
"Featuring a diversity of artistic genres, including visual art, theatre, music, dance and spoken word, this festival unites a gamut of exciting artists under the umbrella term “queer”. In city that is neither known for its “queerness” nor for its comfort with the term, this festival is a celebration of Calgary’s diversity and inclusivity."


Event runs from 8PM to 11PM at the Arrata Opera Centre. Tickets $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

September 15th will be Queers and Gears Night held at The Good Life Bike Shop in Eau Clair Market. Queers of all ages are invited to come and learn basic bike maintence and well as winterising your bike to ride or store. Plus a chill party after.
